Wednesday June 18th from 9:30 to 12:30, discover a successful, science-based workshop from Europe used to engage students ages 10 – 25 and teachers to understand and act on climate change!

This session is geared towards all those who’d like to become a facilitator in schools and universities. It is an introduction to the workshop, which will be followed by additional training.
We will be doing the youth workshop, which is shorter than the Adult version, so participants discover the workshop offered in schools and universities.
Having a science background is not mandatory: passion for children, young adults and the environment is!
Please note you’re expected for the full 3 hour session. The event is at Friends House, 60 Lowther Avenue in Toronto’s Annex area.

About Climate Fresk Educational Workshops :
The Climate Fresk (or “Climate Puzzle”) workshop takes the thick IPCC report on climate change and translates it into a series of cards participants organize in a cause and consequence pattern.
Novices will discover the subject, and experts will deepen and reinforce their knowledge.
The workshop is organized by Climate Fresk’s local representative in Canada outside Quebec.
The Climate Fresk is a European non profit managing the deployment of the Climate Fresk workshop worldwide. It has been working to bring people and organisations on board with the climate transition since the end of 2018. It does this by enabling the rapid growth of climate education and shared understanding of the challenge that climate change represents.
It began this mission in France and is now active in over 40 countries around the world. The workshop follows a social entreprise model. Its offered for a low to no fee to citizens, community groups, schools, and universities and for a corporate fee to organizations.
The representative for English Canada, based in Toronto, is Caroline Isautier. She is also the managing director of the Tech for Good Canada non profit.
