After three years of supporting the growth of a community of independent Climate Fresk facilitators and trainers in English Canada, we’re proud to support a new Canadian project dedicated to expanding climate education and literacy across Canada outside Quebec, with an initial focus on youth, future professionals and government: the Climate Literacy Project ( Educ Climat en français).
Why the Climate Literacy Project (CLP)?
The CLP is a charitable and non-profit initiative aimed at expanding environmental literacy workshops across English Canada, thanks to financial support and Canadian ecosystem partnerships. English Canada’s community of Climate Fresk facilitators needed a Canadian name and organization in order to engage in partnership agreements, fundraise, and support more and better trained facilitators.

The name also opens up the opportunity to include complementary workshops.
Finally, it is a very clear way to communicate facilitators’ mission in Canada, based on Canada’s Federal Government’s focus on “Environmental Literacy” defined here.
Education Facilitation with the Charitable Arm & EIR :

We are excited to announce that the Climate Literacy Project has obtained charitable status for providing free workshops in schools, colleges and universities under the Small Change Fund umbrella in July 2025, nearly five months after connecting with them. Individuals can now make tax-deductible donations to support our growth in English Canada!
All sympathetic to science-based climate change education can now donate here with a tax deduction to the growth of the Climate Literacy Project in English Canada!
We welcome larger funding opportunities from Canadian foundations looking to address climate change in schools, colleges and universities.
Are you a school or school board looking to host free, collaborative climate literacy education in class and during eco-school events? Request a workshop here on the Climate Literacy Project web page.

To help us better reach schools and potential facilitators, the CLP has also partnered with EIR ( Engineers in Residence), an incredible Canadian charity supporting STEM education in hundreds of schools nationwide. This partnership allows the CLP to leverage EiR’s established relationships and insurance coverage and recruit more facilitators among its volunteer engineers.
Here again is how to donate a tax-deductible amount of $25 or more to support the charitable arm of the Climate Literacy Project in Canada.
Government Facilitation Contract with the Non Profit Arm:
Finally, as a non charitable source of revenue, the non profit arm of the Climate Literacy Project offers facilitation for a fee for government and aligned organizations under the Tech for Good Canada non profit entity.

Thanks to the growth of the Climate Fresk facilitator community since the fall of 2022, we’ve gained the confidence of Environment Canada. We’re finalizing an agreement with them to ensure smooth and qualitative facilitation of a large number of workshops for federal employees, in French and in English.
These would all be online to accomodate for Canada’s size as the world’s second largest country. Canada spans a length from east to west of about 4,634 kilometers, and a width from north to south of around 5,514 kilometers. Tech for Good Canada is thrilled to support such a value-driven use of online learning.
Corporate Facilitation:
Any opportunities for corporate facilitation the Climate Literacy Project may receive as a consequence of its educational outreach efforts will be relayed to the community of senior CLP facilitators based on their experience and community involvement.
Financial Model and Climate Fresk Royalty Fees

When the Climate Fresk workshop is facilitated for a fee or as part of an organization’s employee training, a royalty fee is due as part of the Creative Commons License issued by the Climate Fresk organization in Europe. Tech for Good Canada remits this fee on the facilitation it coordinates.
All those facilitating autonomously in a commercial context must pay a 10% fee of revenue to the Climate Fresk organization in Europe for use of their workshop via this form: https://climatefresk.org/world/fees/
